THE GAME STARTED A BIT NERVY FOR THE FIRST 5 MINS FOR BOTH TEAMS BUT WEALDSTONE SOON GOT INTO THEIR STRIDE AND TOOK CONTROL BY PLAYING NEAT PASSING FOOTBALL ON THE GROUND FROM DEFENCE TO THE FOWARDS. ALBIE, JAKE AND RAWN WERE LINKING UP WELL AND CAUSING PLENTY OF PROBLEMS TO THE HAYES DEFENCE WITH RAWN AND JAKE GOING CLOSE TIME AFTER TIME, TARHI ALSO HAD TWO EFFORTS WHICH WERE JUST WIDE. HAYES WERE HAPPY JUST TO CATCH US ON THE BREAK PUNTING LONG AND IT NEARLY PAID OFF BUT FROM SOME GOOD DEFENDING FROM JAE, JOSH AND DRILON KEPT THEM OUT.
ALBIE WAS BUZZING TODAY ATTACKING THE DEFENDERS DOWN THE WING WITH SKILL AND SPEED AND WHIPPING THE BALL IN TO RAWN AND JAKE AND COS TO ATTACK. THE GAME WAS ALL WEALDSTONE WITH CORNER AFTER CORNER AND TOP DELIVERIES FROM JAKE ALMOST SET UP THE FIRST GOAL WITH ALBIE AND RAWN HEADING INCHES WIDE,THE FIRST GOAL COME JUST BEFORE HALFTIME WITH RAWN GOING ON A POWERFUL RUN AND FINISHING WELL, 1-0 HALF TIME AND WELL DESERVED.
THE BOYS COME OUT IN THE SECOND HALF EVEN BETTER AND HAYES DIDN'T NO WHAT HIT THEM, THE BALL WAS BEING PLAYED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TEAM PASS AFTER PASS AND HAYES JUST COULDN'T COPE. ALBIE PICKED UP THE BALL JUST INSIDE THE HAYES HALF AND RUN AT A DEFENDER TOOK HIM ON AND HIT A SHOT FROM OUTSIDE THE BOX FROM THE RIGHT, TOP CORNER 2-0(BLINDER).
HAYES HEADS NEVER DROPPED AND WERE STILL UP FOR A GAME BUT WE WERE JUST TO STRONG TODAY WITH CHANCES STILL COMING WITH JOSH, JAKE AND COS GOING CLOSE, RAWN BECAME PROVIDER FOR WEALDSTONE'S THIRD SETTING UP TARHI TO SCORE HIS FIRST GOAL FOR THE CLUB TO MAKE IT 3-0 (WELL DONE TARHI).

Wealdstone u10a v Celtic 10a
On a fresh dull Sunday morning Wealdstone were away to Celtic. The game was a battle from the start with Celtic being very physical, the pitch was small and tight so the passing had to be accurate. Wealdstone had the early chances with Jake and Rawn going close and at the back Josh and Jae defended well when needed. Josh was quality today from the start winning everything in the air and releasing the the ball with fantastic deliveries to the forwards time after time. Celtic scored completely against the run off play to make it 1-0. Wealdstone responded straight away when Jake won a freekick just inside the Celtic half, Josh took the free kick and picked out Rawn to volley in the free kick to make it 1-1. Within minutes the Stones were in the lead Rawn crossing in a diagonal ball to find Albie to fire home and make it 2-1 at half time.
The second half started as the first finished, Wealdstone on the attack. Plenty of chances were not taken early on so this gave Celtic a second wind. The game should of been over in the first 5 or so minutes but Celtic strength and physical play earned them their equaliser, Drilon was clearly fouled when Celtic scored and was on the floor in pain but the ref claimed he saw no wrong doing (should of gone to specsavers). 2-2. Drilon was clearly in pain but chose to carry on and with Jae injured off the pitch we were done to the bare 7. Celtic scored again with about 10 mins to go after a mix up at the back and a weak effort rolled in. Drilon was to play no more part today so Josh went in goal and Jae come back on with his injury. The last 10 or so minutes was all Wealdstone effort after effort well saved by the Celtic goalie, the boys kept at Celtic and they put everyone behind the ball, some of Celtic challenges and pulling went unnoticed today with Albie and Jake getting hacked and pulled time after time but the boys kept going. Rawn came close in the dying minutes twice with top headers from Jake's corners well saved off the line. A good performance today from all, but sometimes things don't go your way even when you deserve it.

GOALS=RAWN-1,ALBIE-1
MOTM=JOSH=QUALITY PERFORMANCE.
Wealdstone v Headstone Manor B
On a wet and miserable sat morning wealdstone were at home to a new improved Headstone B team.
The game started with Headstone kicking off and shooting straight from the start just wide (wake up boys). The boys then got the ball and took control of the game passing and shooting time after time. Wealdstone went close on many occassions in the first ten minutes with Jake and Rawn hitting the bar and Albie going close. Headstone were big but did play some neat football at times but they were happy launching it long. On about 12 minutes Jake scored a brave effort in the box after a good ball in from Rawn.1-0. Within minutes it was 2-0 a corner taken by Jake curled into the top corner(CRACKER) no chance for the goalie.2-0.
Wealdstone must of had 10 corners in the first half and were totally dominating, a good free kick from Jae almost made it 3-0 after Albie headed just wide. Wealdstone could of easily been four up at half time but from some great defending and saves from Headstone. A mistake with seconds to half time gifted Headstone a goal this made it 2-1 half time.
Due to the error just before the break Headstone had a life line and were very happy because it could of been a lot worse.
The second half started with Wealdstone kicking off and going on the attack and nearly scoring but a good save denied Rawn,with about 5 minutes played it was 3-1 a good ball from Jae to Albie to Rawn who made a inch perfect pass to Jake to score a quality goal and get his hatrick. (WELL DONE ROONEY)
The boys were now cruising playing top football on the floor from the back to the fowards. Headstone were still up for it and with a dubious penalty won with about 10 minutes left after Drilon was accused to foul the Headstone player, they scored to make it 3-2.
The boys got on with it and could off had more goals with Rawn, Cos and Albie going close, a great cross ball from Rawn to Albie ended up with Albie hitting the cross bar from outside the box. The game finished 3-2 to Wealdstone,the scoreline didn't really reflect the game today but fairplay to Headstone who made it real difficult for the boys.
GOALS=JAKE 3
MOTM=JAKE=GREAT HATRICK AND ALL ROUND PERFORMANCE.

"UP THE WEALDSTONE"
Parkfield v Wealdstone
On a fresh and windy Sunday morning Wealdstone were away to Parkfield. Having played well on Saturday and getting a good result the boys were a total different team today. Parkfield scored on about 3 minutes due to an error at the back, the boys just didn't turn up today and gifted Parkfield a easy goal. Parkfield pased the ball about well and Wealdstone just panicked and rushed when they had the ball, this is not our usual play so this was hard to accept. Wealdstone did have chances to get a equaliser with Albie and Jake going close but easily saved by the goalie. Wealdstone tried time after time to get the equaliser and pushed forward in numbers but this left gaps at the back and with about 5 minutes to go Parkfield got another after an error once again.
Todays match is one for us all to forget about and move on for next week.

"UP THE WEALDSTONE"
Wealdstone v Princes Park A
On a windy wet Sunday morning Wealdstone were at home a huge Princes Park A side. After last weeks shocking performance the boys were told one thing, PASS and pass was exactly what the boys done from start to finish. The wind was blowing strong today so the football had to be played on the floor from the back to the front. Straight from the start the boys were buzzing and with only the bare seven today the boys had to be on form.
Chances in the opening minutes brought good saves from Park goalie, the midfield partnership between Albie, Rawn and Pat were causing plenty of problems supplying Jake with chances. Park were playing neat football themselves but not causing Jae and Tarhi to many problems but when they did break they dealt with it comfortably.
On about 10 minutes the opening goal came when good work from Rawn to Albie and a perfect pass to Jake to score a neat finish top corner.1-0. Within minutes it was 2-0, good work again from the midfield to find Jake who the tricked his way past two players and scored a quality goal 2-0, Jaedan came close to make it 3-0 his freekick inches wide. Chances were coming a plenty with Jake and Rawn missing glorious chances to finish the game off. In the first 20 minutes Wealdstone could of had a hatful of goals but top saves and last ditch defending kept the ball out. Wealdstone then took their foot of the peddle and conceded a good goal from Park .2-1 half time.
The second half started the same as the first quality football from the boys and chance after chance after chance but no goals, the boys should of won this game by a mile but while the ball was not going in Park still had a chance. With about 5 minutes remaining they threw the kitchen sink at us but a world class save by Drilon kept the ball out, Jae and Tarhi were immense today when called on.
The game finished 2-1 but once again the boys could off had a hatful of goals today, quality football and chances a plenty was pleasing to watch, the score line does not give the boys enough credit because they could of had 6 or 7.
Goals=Jake 2
motm=Jae and Tarhi=great performances

WEALDSTONE V HEADSTONE MANOR B
On a fresh sunday morning the Stones were at home to Headstone,after the christmas break and all the bad weather we have had this was our first game since early December.
The game started with the Stones kicking off and at first were a bit nervy but after about 8 mins of play the boys settled and got the ball down and started playing football, with Drilon in goal and Tarhi and Josh at the back the midfield were getting forward and supporting Joey up front. Jaedan, Albie and Rawn were playing neat football in midfield and creating plenty of chances.
Headstone were dangerous at times in the first half punting the ball long and trying to catch us on the break, but he Stones should of been 2 or 3 up in the first 15 mins with chances from Joey and Rawn going inches wide and well saved by the Headstone goalie. Headstone had a good chance to score when they caught us out with another big punt and their striker was one on one with Drilon but Drilon saved well.
On 15 mins Cos come on and made a big difference with his speed, a good pass from Albie to Cos in our own half set Cos of on a run on goal he took on 2 players and struck a low left foot drive GOAL 1-0 Stones. HALF TIME
The second half started better than the first the boys were settled now and were creating chances a plenty,but it was Headstone who took an early chance a good pass from a defender to the striker to race past our defence and slot home a low strike 1-1.
The stones struck back straight away, a great pass from Josh to Rawn to Jae to find Joey to score his first goal for the team in his 3rd game for us.2-1.
The boys were buzzing and with Josh and Tarhi solid at the back the midfield took control, Albie, Rawn, Jae, Cos and Joey linked up well all morning and caused plenty of problems to Headstone.
Headstone were still well up for it and made life very difficult for the boys and were playing well themselfs but on about 40mins the Stones finished the game off,a corner taken by Headstone was cleared by Josh to Albie who went on a run down the wing and found Rawn with his cross who shoot but was well saved by the goalie but Cos was on hand to tap in to make it 3-1. The score could of been more at the end with Albie and Josh going close but fine saves from the goalie kept the ball out.
Final score 3-1.
