Volunteers Needed!

We need your help!

Wealdstone FC Youth is a club with a strong community spirit and is run entirely by people who give their time for free. Occasionally, we need a little bit of extra help to run things smoothly and as such we are currently looking for volunteers who can help with the following roles:

Child Welfare Officer (CWO)

Clubs with youth teams must have a named Welfare Officer who has an 'accepted' CRB check via The FA CRB Unit and who has completed The FA Safeguarding Children and Welfare Officer Workshop.

Your club needs you!

We are looking for someone who can assist Wealdstone FC Youth in it's responsibility to provide a safe and fun environment for children and young people. See the FA website for more information on Child Welfare Officers.

Key attributes:

  • Always puts children's welfare first
  • Is a good communicator
  • Has a common sense approach
  • Is willing to learn and seek advice
  • Is over the age of 18

If this sounds like you please contact Andy Harman either by email or call 07984 174649.

Referees

Look good in black? Ever fancied being a football referee? Ref courses are available which provide an introduction to the laws of the game as well as developing the practical skills required.

The club will pay for your training ... and as a qualified referee you'll get a few quid for each game too! If enough people are interested we will try and run the course from Grosvenor Vale.

See the Middlesex FA website for the course details.

If the ref course interests you, please contact Gary Howes either by email or call 07979 241656.

Mini Soccer Coaches

Our mini soccer school for 5-6 year olds is due to restart on Saturday 2nd April 2011 and we need a few more coaches to lend a hand.

If you'd like to help out and have an hour to spare on a Saturday morning we'd love to hear from you.

If you are interested, please contact Gary Howes either by email or call 07979 241656.
